Sehelai Kain

Pentas Karyawan Production presents

Beyond presence, were hidden talents;

Sehelai Kain is a stage presentation, with collaborative efforts from mostly the year 1s, and Hilmi - basically those who did not perform directly for PPP (besides Syafiq who acted simply as a passer-by). We explored right from the roots of pre-production and gradually perform it on stage, which was therefore filmed. Sehelai Kain was a project we did on our Drama Boot Camp in the first holiday session - which took us 2hours and half to complete throughout.

Credits to those who were either directly or indirectly contrbuted to the short project. Thank you very much.

The first PK session in the first week of our holidays, was to focus on theatre & drama. We start out with the preparation to drama, such like making the warm-ups known to the rest.

Imagination, still image were part of the activities before we start own production of a two-hour staging, Sehelai Kain. Pre-production, Pro-production, Post-production - it was what we went through, we witnessed.

There's simply more to drama, more than yellings, expression and bloopers, simply more than what's on stage.

Posters-posters yang cool nak giler!

Yang kecoh2 during show day;

yang pantang nampak camera, yang pantang nampak background lawayang muka tak glam, camera petik
yang tak habis-habis nak mendera
yang tidur merata
yang berjiwa PPP
yang sanggup bertolak-tolak sebab selfish nak camera lens untuk diri sendiri

1 Ogos 2008, tanggal berakhirnya perjalanan Pesta Peti Putih. It is very cliche to mention about the ups & downs we went through.

The Awards' Night certainly did give us the opportunity to glitz and glam on red carpets. Guys or girls, the narcissism is apparent enough.

Our team is good, but there is other better. In every industry, there will always be competitors.
We might not outstand to the judges, but we know that is our BEST that we managed to lay out on stage. Be it crews or casts, even the publication, we did WONDERS to create WONDERS.

Pentas Karyawan will come back to break the tradition. If it's not last year, this year, probably next year, InsyAllah. Not only Zul, Wirni, 'Arifah, Susu, Ezzah, every MCGs who graduated, will be proud of us.

Wirni & 'Arifah is a good leader themselves. If it's not for what she says, or the direction, none of RP's representative will even step on the stage. It is portrayed through an award. The composition complements each other on stage.

However, I am proud that Pesta Peti Putih not only the reason for the bond, but there are also numerous insights we gained from this experience, be it we were there since boot camp or join in he midst of the pre-production. Process and memories were precious, which money can't buy and I do believe they think the same way. Awards might not convey much; the beliefs mentors has in store portrays our capability as arts people.

Kita, sebagai inti pentas mengambil setiap kegagalan sebagai suatu pembangunan.

- yang asik tak boleh datang
- yang wig asik tercabut
- yang ketawa tapi suruh orang serious
- yang pantang nampak camera...

dan yang paling tak boleh lupa, semangat kental yang kukuh dalam diri masing-masing, memberi semangat kepada setiap ahli that they matters no matter the role. The applaud is a great success, the spirit lingers in us, till the end of time
